Torino Kazami (風巳 とりの, Kazami Torino) is a village caretaker who accepts girls who have nowhere to go at a section of the "Mermaid" island. She has outstanding proportions and is adored by the village girls due to her generous and affectionate nature. She sensitively claims to be 17 years old when a topic about age comes up but truthfully, her real age is unknown. She is actually a spy for the watcher.

Personality[]
Torino has outstanding proportions and is adored by the village girls due to her generous and affectionate nature. But this is all just a front.
In truth, she is one of the watchers. The group would kidnap the girls from their families, and abandon them on the island, forcing them to fend for themselves, even though their condition is totally harmless for the most part. They would then send her into a shelter and count on them when they were at their lowest point.
Basically creating her own little cult of personality to help then tighten their control over the kidnapped girl who might otherwise try to find a way off the island or fight back against their tormentors.
Though seemingly a very kind and caring person, Torino's personality is that of a fox. She is presented as a very cunning and observant character, and prioritizes her well-being over everything else.
Background[]
Torino is one of the first people transferred to Mermaid. She made an inn on the island that would take in girls who didn't want or have the power to be accepted into veste. It is later revealed that she is the watcher of the island.

- The name Torino means "Bird's" (とりの) in Hiragana.
- Torino is the name of a City in Italy also know as "Turin".
- Torino's surname Kazami means "wind, breeze, way, manner, blaster, gale, gust, sirocco, method" (風) (kaza) and "snake" (巳) (mi).

- Atelier (Fr. "studio") Torino is the name of an inn for those who do not like the way Wärter operated, presumably due to Feste.
- Meifon is one of its suppliers.
- Torino is the watcher of the island.
- Torino's claims of being 17 years old might be a reference to her voice actress Kikuko Inoue, who jokingly claims to be 17 years old despite her real age being well known.
- Despite her being a Liberator, Torino is the only Valkyrie who does not show her combat skills in-universe, only to lose her A-Virus powers in the finale.
- Although she has a fox motif due to her personality, Torino's overall characteristics may be based on Ace Ukiyo (A.K.A, Kamen Rider Geats).
